Night- Night...

Sometime in the last couple of weeks, our little Wub decided that he is capable of telling us when he is ready for bed, which is hilarious, exciting, and amazing all at the same time.  We are sure things will continue to evolve and change, but at this particular time, it is adorable to have this sweet communication at bed time.  

The first time this happened, we had read a few books sitting on the floor by his bookshelf (where mommy and Z always do story time) and after the third book, Zander got up out of my lap walked behind me, pushed my back and said nih-night - he then walked over to his crib and pulled his blanket down and stood there there while I got up, turned off the light and then walked over to put him down.  Whaaaat?  I left his room in shock...and this has continued almost every night since!  

1yr Doctor Appointment

Which was actually closer to 14 months...

It was interesting keeping a mobile little human occupied while waiting on the doctor...

We took selfie's, blocked drawers with broken child safety locks, spun the stool, and climbed in chairs - whew!

Zander is 34 inches tall and weighs 29 pounds...we are still off the charts for both :) and all other things are right on par - we sure have come a long way since our first doctor's appointment!  One might think we actually know what we are doing these days, but let's not get crazy just yet.

We are in need of a haircut....soon anyway!

Easter 2014 - Zander's 1st Easter

354. Happy 1st Birthday to Zander!!

We had big plans for Zander's birthday!  Mommy took off work and daddy came home early.  We headed to the mall for pictures and were planning to go out to eat, but our poor little Wub started running a fever (teething) and was not enjoying himself at all.  Pictures were not fun, so we packed up and decided to head home...poor baby passed out on the way.  It was a Glory Days pick-up kind of Friday and the rest is history!

Zander you are such a little person.  Walking around everywhere, super independent, and very vocal.  You have so many words in your little vocabulary.  One of our favorite new one's is "done" or "all done" which you say as you try to sign it also.  You love to take showers, help in the laundry room, play endlessly, and read your books on the floor in your room.  We can't believe that you are one - we are amazed by you and how smart you are every single day - we love you beyond measure, beyond words and thank you for this journey!  Happy Birthday Zander!!!
