7 weeks!! Stop the clock...please!

We definitely ventured into a 3-6 month outfit today...craziness!  The Kosatka genes are winning out!  Which is a beautiful thing, just hard on this momma's back ;) 

A visit from my 3rd cousin?!

Day 48...my cousin Mike stopped by (in the middle of an 8ish hour car ride) to meet Zander.  So appreciate him going out of the way!  

Zander's bib attacked today when he was in the swing.  I was across the room and started hearing some complaining :)  I should have taken it off before...those little hands are very capable of moving things around these days.  

And there is no better place to pass out than his dads arms!

42 & 43

Today Z and I went to visit my cousin Hannah and her little guy Maddox who is a little over 2 months old and LOVES to stand...all the time.  Thinking he might bypass crawling altogether :).  And he totally reminded me of the dancing baby Pepsi commercial.

Friday night Brad, Z and I hit up Home Depot and went out to dinner for the 1st time.  I lifted the blanket a zillion times to check on him - haha.  As usual everything was fine...am I detecting a theme here?  We always survive ;)

Looking like a big boy

Day 41...

Our little bird was chilling (with a little help) and sitting up on the couch yesterday.  He and I were having a very happy conversation :)

He is getting so heavy these days...in a moment if brilliance (my brain is lacking spark most days) Brad decided to weigh Z by getting on the bathroom scales with & without him and the result is about 13.5 pounds!  His diapers are getting small and some of the 0-3 month clothes are snug!  We knew he had to be knocking on 15lbs :)

Mom's 6 Week Appt

Day 40 - today was my six week appointment.  #hardtobelieve!  Zander stayed back with his Gram when I headed out.  His effort to fight sleep all day leaves him completely exhausted by the end of the day...one of these days that will change; Brad and I have no doubt b/c he is our child and we both love a good nap.

Zander's bib usually ends up to the side like this...I don't know what happens.  Must be his attempt at being a G - lol.

Baby Harper's Shower

38...Today we attended the baby shower for Zander's cousin - baby girl Harper (my brothers daughter) that will be arriving in July.  Zander slept through the event, but I did capture a cute shot of my cousin Ashleigh's son peeking in on him :) 

Lazy Saturday

This may have been our first Saturday with nowhere to go and no visitors...just the three of us :).  We spent the entire morning lounging around before we headed out for a little while.  

I came downstairs from getting ready to Brad, Zander, and Bailee in full nap mode :) 

A day out in Winchester - 36

Today Zander and I drove out to my parents to spend the day with my mom.  (Despite thinking around 10am that we would NEVER make it out of our house after spit ups, diaper blow outs, an extra bath, and outfit changes for both of us).  We really had such a nice time!  Lunch at the Chocolate Bar and then a little shopping.  It's definitely nicer to be out during a weekday when the stores are less crowded...I'm trying not to get used to this - haha.

The Mall - ahhh

Day 35 Zander and I met my friend Nikki and her daughter at the mall today.  I was one hot mess worrying over how this trip was going to go and as always, we survived!  Overall it was a success, so when am I going to relax already?  Haha.  Baby steps.

Thank you to my dear friend for sharing this first adventure with me, for being so patient with my nerves, for the encouragement all the way around, and for pushing two strollers on and off of elevators and out of the mall when I had to make a bottle and feed Z as we were walking out.  

Aunt Paige Visits

Day 34...a very special day!  Our first playdate with Aunt Paige, Jaxton, and Madden.  We hung out around the house, had a nice walk around the pond, and wrapped things up by ordering pizza.  Yumm!  Jaxton was so sweet with Zander and I was able to get a picture of the unposed or prompted  exchange.  Before we know it all three of our fellas will be playing the days away with each other.  

Last night daddy had basketball, so Z and I were solo for the bedtime routine (well, our attempt at one anyway!).  He gets so hot in the ergo infant insert...he stretched out in a big way when I took him out.  And he is finding his hands more and more daily.  I promise he wasn't freezing in the bath, just curious about the water :).

Day 32 & 33

Z's 1st excursion with daddy

Day 30...Brad took Zander out on Saturday to do their Mother's Day shopping.  It was strange to be apart for a few hours, but the boy bonding time is needed too!  As expected Brad and Z did just fine without mommy's watchful and at times overbearing eye.

I ventured to Target and stumbled across some swim gear for our little man :)

A visit from Grandma B & Hiccups!

Day 29...Today Grandma Bendi came to visit with Zander and spent the afternoon/evening with us. 

And mommy caved and gave Zander a different pacifier...sometimes the hiccups he gets are so strong and he gets so angry.  Not sure what his usage will be moving forward, but the traditional pacifier did the trick this time.  And his shirt represents well - haha.  We'll take it!

4 weeks or one month? 28 days

That has been the exciting debate in my head...haha.  Our little Zander turned 4 weeks old on Thursday!  The verdict is one month has to be at the anniversary of the 11th...so we'll plan for a fun picture or two that day.  Z tried out his play gym yesterday (we have used the mat for tummy time before), but today was the first time on his back.  He was so captivated by the animals...UNTIL the hiccups interrupted play time. 

27 days...

Slacking...Tummy Roadblock

Days 25 & 26...our poor little bird has had some tummy troubles, just about since he arrived (for one reason or another), but the last few days have really kept him in discomfort.  We are working on getting him straightened out and are hopeful we can find the right or a better combination to improve how he feels.  With that said, preoccupation caused us to miss out on getting a picture on Monday, but we jumped back on the wagon yesterday.  Need to see this calm and happy face a little more regularly - for him more than anyone else.
